via a control pad, these are normally mounted into the
wall in close proximity to the light switch. Different
types of keypads are available. All of which allow you
to access functions quickly and easily.

control systems, this is a non touch screen control
pad.
This
simple keypad will allow selection of tv, albums
and radio stations via its 3 button menu. Use
left or right buttons to navigate the system,
use the middle button to make the selection.

longer range operation an integral IR receiver
is provided to deliver full control from anywhere
in the room.

with all Living Control systems, the DisplayPad-S
will perform a wide variety of tasks depending on
the multi-room controller used.
Like
the display pad SL, it allows you to choose from
tv, albums, radio stations along with a volume
control.
When
connected to the RoomBox 6 / VX CPU's, an additional
layer of facilities is made available. A forty-five
minute sleep timer enables you to forget about
turning the system off and slowly fades the music
away while you drift off to sleep. 'Wake up' alarms
allow you to wake up to your favourite music or
radio/TV station. Every zone has four independent
alarms, enabling customised weekday and weekend
settings. Four independent event alarms activate
your lights at chosen times of the day, enabling
customised weekday and weekend settings in each
zone.

| Utilising
touch-screen technology, the VideoPad provides the
fastest and most direct operation of Living Control's
RoomBox 6.
There
are two steps involved in choosing a CD on a Living
Control system: firstly select source, and then
CD.
Menu
driven operation on a DisplayPad-S will take you
to your choice, but with the VideoPad, this process
is further simplified.
Sources
are displayed on a single screen. Once a source
has been selected, the VideoPad will allow direct
alphabetical selection. Whether it's Abba or ZZ
Top, the selection is as fast. All alarm, event
and sleep timers are similarly accessible.

In many
multi-room installations, one room is reserved for
a home theatre system. In these rooms, the amplifier
used is external to the multi-room system and not
controlled by it. The VideoPad AV provides this
control.5
Once configured, you will be presented with a touch-screen
controller that appears, at first, to be identical
to all the other VideoPads within your system. The
VideoPad AV will, however, switch on your home theatre
system, dim lights, lower a projector screen and
start the movie playing, in addition to performing
its multi-room system functions. The options are
numerous and tailored to your individual requirements.
Further
keypad controls include DVD, Sky navigation, and
lighting control.

lighting control within a standard double-gang plate.
The combination plate can
be used with all Living Control systems, but really
comes into its own when used with the RoomBox
6.
For all LC systems, Rako's
section of the plate provides full control of
your lights and Living Control's DisplayPad-S
offers access to all your music.
When a Rako RAV-LC interface
is used with RoomBox 6 however, you will be able
to set "event" timers to turn your lights
on and off at chosen times of the day.
